Dan wins Mosport 1970
Dan Gurney in McLaren wins 1970 Can-Am at Mosport Canada. This was the opening round of the ‘70 season, when Gurney was asked to drive in place of team founder Bruce McLaren, who had just been killed in a testing accident. Dan would go on to also win the second race of that year’s series, at Mont-Tremblant, scoring the last victory of his illustrious career which ended with his retirement at the end of 1970.
